Our mission at Simply Solid: We are rethinking personal care and preventing plastic waste from being created in the first place.

Since solid cosmetics contain no water, we can completely do away with preservatives. This also eliminates the bulky plastic bottle, which saves a huge amount of packaging waste and plastic. This also makes a huge difference in transport : the small volume makes it possible to transport significantly more products in a single truck, thereby reducing CO₂ emissions.

But to sustainably protect our oceans and waterways, avoidance alone is not enough – we must also take action where plastic is already in circulation.

PARTNERSHIP FOR CLEAN WATER

Every year, 11 million tonnes of plastic waste enter the oceans via rivers. This is exactly where the everwave team comes in: using waste collection boats, barriers, AI-powered analysis and manual cleanups on the ground, everwave removes waste from rivers and waterways before it can reach the oceans or break down into microplastics. The collected waste is then sorted and sent for appropriate recycling or disposal. In addition, everwave is building long-term waste management infrastructure in regions such as Albania and Cambodia, creating local jobs and promoting environmental education on the ground.

As a company, we support this work through so-called plastic credits. Our financial contribution enables the measurable and transparently documented removal of plastic waste from rivers and waterways. This means that Simply Solid's solid, plastic-free cosmetics and everwave's work complement each other perfectly – for clean waterways and a concrete, verifiable environmental contribution.
